Guiding Principles
Honesty from self. Being honest with/from self builds trust. It also builds capacity to deliver personal integrity. A person can be honest to the world around him if he has it from himself.
Sincerity in action. Things are created twice; mental and physical creation. It is a way of doing things right and doing the right things. In the process of doing, mistakes are inevitable. People will forgive the mistakes of the mind, but they will not easily forgive the mistakes of the heart.
Loyalty to supreme consciousness. Man can only work with the principles and institution of a man and community he serves if he established his loyalty to his supreme consciousness; the nucleus of his being and the master of his inner self.
Inside-out. This is the axis that horizontally holds the balanced approach to development. Before looking for an outward change or success, the inner change or success must be established. Potential local resources should be maximized before asking external assistance. Charity should begin at home. It is the character before the personality, internal before external. We can only crusade the gospel we live with.
Integrity through interconnectedness. Basically, man is dependent from all creatures. Bio-physically, he cannot declare independent from/against nature and environment. All his existence and survival rely on the living and non-living things in the universe. Integrity of inner self would mean source of sustainability if interconnected with his God, nature/environment, community and fellowmen; regardless of sex, race and other uniqueness behind them.
People-centered. People are struggling themselves to become a fulfilled human beings. They are for human values before the social values that work to answer their needs for health, education, nutrition, safety and security, leisure and happiness. They must be involved and get full participation in social, economic, political, cultural and spiritual aspects of development. People development is the key and an avenue to an integrated/wholistic, balance and sustainable development.
Excellence and Process-oriented. In any endeavor, we strive for quality over the quantity, and mutually over individuality. These can be achieved through a process. It is the process over the result; the result speaks for the process. Excellence is an achievement from the potential capacities and the best of self which can be complemented to the best of others. It is the pursuit of being the master of destiny than a slave of fate.
Perpetuation through the here and now. Development is not an overnight sensation. It is ongoing with the great influence of time and space. The cause may end a new beginning and the effect may begin a new ending. Dreams can be pursued, and vision can be realized by acting it with the HERE and NOW situation.
Bottom-up. On the vertical approach, it is the ground that holds the gravity of development. These are the un-served, underserved, poor and disadvantaged sectors of our society. These are the cradle of reality, source of the facts and basement of energies for any social gestures to grow. This is to regulate the subservience of rural communities to the cities, excessive reliance of the people to the politicians and over dependence of the citizens to the authorities.
